Packaging Design

Please download the appropriate template(s) prior to beginning your design to ensure proper layout.

Be sure to verify that fonts are included or outlined / rasterized within the file. An included cropped PDF of the artwork is highly suggested to verify accuracy. To ensure proper output please be sure to add an 1/8 inch bleed to all print work.

Include a cropped sample of all art to be used for comparison only.

Please contact us for the appropriate template if not seen within our Design Templates.

On-Disc Design

For PANTONE specific disc art, be sure to use the Pantone solid coated color matching system and specify the PMS# on your PO and also within the artwork file.

Four color process disc art (CMYK) should be at a resolution of no lower then 300 dpi for maximum image clarity.

For all on-disc art, please verify that fonts are included or outlined / rasterized within the file. An included PDF of the artwork is highly suggested. A bleed is not required for your on-disc art.

Include a cropped sample of all art to be used for comparison only.

Common Questions

My disc looks like it has two colors, why are you showing four?

Your disc may show only two colors (Exmp. Black, red and a white background) but unfortunately it may not have been set up to use PANTONE colors. Depending on how your file is set up you may need to go back and simply choose a PANTONE color from your programs swatches or create a specialized document that utilize the channels option.

Why is the "white flood" an extra color? Isn't white free like in printing?

Think of the white flood as a primer for your disc art. Naturally your disc is silver, (print is white) in order to achieve the smooth solid look you will require the primer to bring out your colors or photos. When a white flood is not used anywhere in your design that is white will become the natural silver of the disc. In some designs this is a great design accent.
